Among the many who feel strongly about Binayak Sen, is filmmaker Sudhir Mishra.

Mumbai: Dr Binayak Sen has been in the news since he was arrested in Chhatisgarh last year on charges of having connections with unlawful organisations. Many voices have come out in support of the activist but without much results. And among many, who feel strongly about Binayak Sen, is filmmaker Sudhir Mishra.

His films have always dealt with social issues, but now he is taking a break from Bollywood and Sudhir Mishra has decided to make a documentray on the activist. Not many know that Sudhir knows Binayak and his brother Dipankar since his childhood days.

"I am making a film on Binayak da. He is my best friend's elder brother. Binayak's dad is in the Army. He is an Army officer who served the country in the obvious patriotic way. As far as I know, Binayak was a doctor and a graduate from Vellore Christian College and he could be earning a crore a month. But he chose 30 years to go somewhere. Gandhi said you should go to villages, india is in the villages and he is somebody who followed Gandhi's dictum and you put him in jail," says Mishra.

And Sudhir says his whole intention is to discover the facts without trying to pass judgement on who is right and who is wrong.

"There are a lot of people whom I respect, who have told me that he is innocent. A lot of charges have been levelled against him. My film will attempt to investigate that. Also it will explore relationships. It's a story of India, so you can't but not make it," says he.

Sudhir is also ready with his next feature Tera Kya Hoga Johnny and will produce a film titled Sikandar before he starts shooting for this documentary.
