Dhankaur: The Uttar Pradesh Police on Monday registered an FIR against more than a dozen police personnel on charges of raping a woman in Bhatta-Parsaul.

This comes soon after the Allahabad High Court rejected a petition by the police which requested for a stay on a lower court's order.
The Chief Judicial Magistrate court of Greater Noida had on October 12 ordered the state police to file a case against the policemen in the Bhatta-Parsaul rape case.
The court had directed the SHO Dhankaur to file case against 15 policemen and one PAC commandant for allegedly raping a woman during the crackdown on farmers opposing land acquisition in Bhatta-Parsaul villages.
