The task force of the police raided a recreational club at Lower Tank Bund here and arrested 12 persons for allegedly gambling over a game of cards.
However, one accused, Balram Reddy, managed to slip away. The police also seized `28,500. Supervisor of the club M Nageshwar Rao (38) and the punters K Devender (24), Santosh (24), A Praveen (19), Alwal Ramesh, Dilip Giri (32), Sujith Giri, Naresh Kumar (19), D Balraj (20), A Suresh (21), B Mahesh (18) and T Sammaiah (21) were taken into custody.
