A grand marine expo with mesmerising water features and entertainment has begun at the VOC Ground in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The event, organised by MKC Entertainment, promises to offer a unique maritime experience to the city’s residents. MKC Entertainment’s owners City Babu and Chandrasekar shared details about the exhibition with reporters. They explained that the exhibition is spread over an area of about 1.5 lakh square metres and will comply with government guidelines for public safety. Ample parking space for cars and two-wheelers has been arranged for the convenience of visitors. The organisers stressed that this is the first time that such a grand marine expo is being held in Coimbatore. The expo features attractions similar to those in other countries, including tunnels with thousands of species of fish and mermaids, which are designed to give visitors a new experience. Apart from the marine exhibits, the expo also offers entertainment options for children and adults. The attractions include international Ferris wheels, food courts, a snow world, a haunted house, 3D exhibition arenas and stalls selling clothing and household items.
The organisers mentioned that more than 50 different zones have been set up to cater to the varied interests and needs of the visitors. The Marine Expo at the VOC grounds offers the residents of Coimbatore a rare opportunity to explore the wonders of marine life and enjoy a diverse range of entertainment under one roof.
This exhibition provides a unique experience for Coimbatore’s locals, with its wide array of activities and displays, including systems that replicate sea life and mining operations seen in other countries. Every evening, the fair attracts numerous families and friends looking to enjoy their time together. An entry fee of Rs 100 is charged for admission to the exhibition.
Last week, an exhibition of jute products organised by the National Jute Board was inaugurated in Coimbatore on Thursday. A press release from the board said that the exhibition with 20 stalls will be on display at Meenakshi Hall on Avinashi Road till September 16. The products on display include jute jewellery, bags, wall hangings, purses, handbags, mats and baskets. The participants are from cities like West Bengal, Coimbatore, and Hyderabad, and almost all the products on display are handmade.
