BANGALORE: Two persons committed suicide in separate incidents in the city on Monday.
A physically handicapped person ended his life by hanging at his residence in Adarsh Nagar Fourth Main in Chandra Layout police limits on Monday evening. The deceased has been identified as Kandaswamy (45). He was working as an electrician and had lost a leg due to electric shock nine years ago.His wife Mallika (35) works with a garment factory and she was the only bread winner of the family. She told police that he had stopped going out of home because of illness and this made him think he was a burden on the family. The couple had two children, both PU students.

On Monday, after his family members went out, Kandaswamy committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling. The incident came to light when his children came home in the evening. Chandra Layout police have registered a case of unnatural death.

The deceased has been identified as Yathish Kumar (22), a native of Kunigal taluk in Tumkur district. He was a student of Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College of Engineering on Kanakapura Road. He was residing at his relative Krishna's house.

Kamakshipalya police have registered a case of unnatural death and are investigating.
