HYDERABAD: Justice B Chandra Kumar of the AP High Court on Friday directed the Board of Intermediate Education to conduct a re-examination for physics paper-II by fixing a date and issuing fresh hall-tickets to the students who have paid the fee but could not appear for instant supplementary examination on May 16. This exercise should be completed as early as possible, the judge said. After hearing the standing counsel for the Inter board and the counsel for petitioners, the judge, while disposing of the writ petitions by a common order, made it clear to the board that it should declare results in time to enable all students to seek admissions in IIT, BITS, EAMCET etc. If a re-examination was not possible within a reasonable time, the board should issue a separate schedule for the students who could not write the exam on May 16 due to delay in dispatch of hall-tickets.“It is made clear that the students and their parents should not suffer for no fault of theirs. Hence, the Board of Intermediate is hereby directed to consider their case sympathetically and conduct re-examination for Physics paper-II,” he added.Thousands of students could not write physics paper on the first day (May 16) of the advanced supplementary exam due to non-issuance of hall-tickets by the board. The students contended that they were not at fault as they had paid the fee in time to the colleges.
