New Delhi: Actor Irrfan Khan, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film 'Paan Singh Tomar', says he is planning to visit Chambal alongwith director Tigmanshu Dhulia to show the film to former dacoits.

The film is based on the real life of Paan Singh Tomar, a sportsman-turned-dacoit from Chambal. "We are in talks with UTV for the screening of the film

and I want those dacoits to watch the film who are in Chambal since Pan Singh's time and who have completed their punishments and are living a normal life," Irrfan said.

The 49-year-old actor, who has given hits like 'Haasil', 'The Namesake' and 'Life in a... Metro', said he did a lot of research to play the character. The film will hit the theatre on March 2.

"This is an important film for me in which a real life character is being portrayed on the big screen and to do justice this role I had to learn more about the person. And this the reason I want to screen the film to former dacoits.

Their point of view is very important," Irrfan added. The actor, who has previously worked in many Hollywood projects such as 'A Mighty Heart and 'Slumdog Millionare', will soon be seen in another Hollywood franchise 'The Amazing Spider-Man'.

Irrfan plays the role of an Indian doctor in the Spiderman series. The film was recently screened in Tokyo where Irrfan's character was highly appreciated.
