ALAPPUZHA: The Janamaithri police rescued a woman abandoned by her family from a house at Mavelikkara near here on Wednesday. Subhadra Antharjanam, 58, Appattumadom, North Mattom, was found by the police during their house visit. She has husband, two sons and a daughter.Mavelikkara CI K R Sivasudan Pillai said that the police personnel deputed to collect details of people within the police station limits found the woman abandoned in an isolated house. Two years ago she was paralysed, but her family did not look after her, police said. When the police reached the house she was lying on the floor without any clothes. The police officers who found her informed the CI. He reached the house and took steps to take her to a private hospital near Mavelikkara.
