Junior doctors call off strike

HYDERABAD: Giving much to the relief to the common man, junior doctors have called off their month-long strike here on Wednesday morning following late night talks with the state government, but it seems that they did not achieve much for themselves with the strike. The state government has agreed to few of their demands relating to the upgradation of emergency services in all teaching hospitals.The government has agreed to constitute separate committees on their two main demands of increasing stipend and exempting them from rural service. If government fails to address these two issues by April 20, they would again relaunch the strike, a member of the junior doctors association, B Ashok said.
