Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar, who had a brainstorming session with the Opposition leaders at an all-party floor leaders meeting, earlier in the day met Governor H R Bhardwaj at the Raj Bhavan on Saturday evening.
Water Resources Minister Basavaraj Bommai accompanied him. Shettar, who was with the Governor for more than 30 minutes, reportedly briefed him on the outcome of the Supreme Court’s directions to abide by the Cauvery River Authority directions to release water to Tamil Nadu from September 20 to October 15.
The CM reportedly discussed the law and order situation in the state, especially in the Cauvery basin now.
