MYSORE: Just when Mysore returned to normalcy after an elephant attack, residents of J P Nagar in the city were handed another shock when residents spotted a leopard chasing a dog on late Thursday night.
Subramanya, a resident, raised an alarm and called his neighbours to chase away the leopard. The big cat in panic disappeared into a sewage farm nearby.The residents also informed the police and forest officials to nab the leopard, who conducted search operations on Friday morning. A few residents told that the leopard had disappeared near Chamundi Hill.

Residents said that sighting leopards in Chamundi Hill and surrounding areas is not uncommon. They demanded that the leopard be caught and released into the forest.
