Remembering the bygone era

BANGALORE: Celebrating 65th Independence Day, students of Blossom High School visited various dignitaries living in their locality under the programme Nere Hore Shodane.104-year-old Freedom Fighter Giregowda and his wife were invited to the school on Monday and were honoured by the students. They also invited Giregowda to share his experiences with them. He told them to achieve their goals but inculcate values and ethics in every step of their life. He also sang, a teaching methodology followed by teachers in the bygone era, on the value of education.  Retired KAS officer Dhakshina Murthy was the chief guest on the occasion while director of Brain Center D Shashikumar presided.
