A TV channel reports the beef eating by Shastri during the India-South Africa test match in Johannesburg.
New Delhi: An Indore court has issued notice to a petitioner, who moved an application seeking registration of case against former cricketer and commentator Ravi Shastri for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus by reportedly eating beef.
UNI reports that, Manoj Malpani, a Bajrang Dal leader in Indore, has sought that cases under sections 295 A and 298 A of IPC be registered against the former cricketer. Malpani has filed an application before Judicial Magistrate First Class R K Batham in this regard.

The court has summoned the applicant on January 5 to record his statement.
