Senior IPS Officer Arun Sarangi Takes Additional Charge as Odisha DGP, Declares Law Enforcement Top Priority
Sarangi is the Special DG of Police, Training & Director, BPSPA, and will remain in the additional charge of DG of Police, Odisha until the regular DGP joins

A 1990 batch senior IPS officer, Arun Sarangi, on Sunday afternoon took charge as Odisha’s in-charge director General of Police, a notification from the State Home Department said on Saturday.

Sarangi is the Special DG of Police, Training & Director, BPSPA, and will remain in the additional charge of DG of Police, Odisha until the regular DGP joins.

Before assuming charge, Sarangi garlanded the Shaheed statue in the Odisha Police headquarters. Outgoing DGP Sunil Bansal formally handed over the charge of In-Charge DGP, Odisha, at a simple ceremony in Cuttack on Monday. Many senior police officers felicitated Sarangi after taking charge.

After assuming charge, Sarangi declared that law enforcement would be his top priority.
