KOCHI: The aim of higher education can be achieved only if technology, culture and art integrate, said V N Rajasekhara Pillai, executive vice-president, Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment. He was inaugurating the technology and cultural festival ‘Brahma-12’ at Adi Shankara Institute of Science and Technology, Kalady, on Thursday.The purpose of education can be attained only if priority is given to innovative teaching methods and new thoughts, he said. When new methods and new concepts are developed with the changing times, higher education should be all about opening new paths in technology, culture and art, he said.The innovative thinking and concept of engineering students should help take the country to greater heights and techno-cultural contests will be of great help, he said.Prof P S Ramachandran presided over the function. Principal S G Iyer welcomed the gathering. Sarath offered the vote of thanks. The contests in were held in different venues on various topics.
