Buses will be operational from morning to evening and will leave from Puducherry’s New Bus Station.

Pondicherry, aka Puducherry, is the city of explorers. It is a place of history and preserved colonial charm dotted with sandy beaches, monuments, heritage villas, a French ambience and a mystical feel. It is a great getaway place, away from the city’s hustle and bustle and is serene. Puducherry’s natural beauty attracts tourists from across the world and there are various facilities one can avail as a tourist here.

If you are visiting Puducherry, you will notice mini buses are operational. The minibuses have been repaired and refurbished and are a convenient mode of commuting there for sightseeing for tourists. One can board the bus or alight anywhere. A minimum of Rs 150 per person per day for 12 hours has been fixed to cover all the famous tourist attractions in Puducherry.

From one tourist spot to another, it will cost you just Rs 10. Buses will be operational from morning to evening and will cover about 21 tourist spots. As per reports, the buses will leave from Puducherry’s New Bus Station in the morning. It will take you to various places like the Botanical Garden which was initially established as a French Garden, Sacred Hear Basilica and Pondy Marina where you can indulge in various cuisines and flavours and explore the sandy beaches.

The bus will also take you to the famous white monument called Aayi Mandapam which was built during the reign of Napoleon III. It will also take you to the famous Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Sri Aurobindo Paper Mill and Art and Craft Village. If you love archaeological sites, then be prepared to check out Arikamedu and visit the tranquil beach of Chinna Veerampattinam.

Your sightseeing tour will also include the Chunnambar Boat House, the revered Sri Singirikudi Narasimha Temple, visit Thirukanji, check out the Villianur Church and Villianur Thirukameswar Temple. Apart from this, the bus will take you to Ossudu Lake, Auroville Matrimandir, Auroville Beach, Kamaraj Manimandapam, and Abdul Kalam Science Center and Planetarium and drop you back to the New Bus Stand. The Commissioner of the Transport Department shared that tourists visiting Puducherry can avail of this bus service.
