Malaika Arora is dealing with the irreparable loss of her father, Anil Mehta. Mehta passed away at his Mumbai residence in September this year. Before this incident, Arora was in Maldives for a cover shoot and a chat about wellness and lifestyle. In the chat, she spoke about how life can be chaotic and it is important to maintain a lifestyle that aids one’s well-being.
Speaking to GlobalSpa Magazine, Malaika Arora said, “Life can be hectic, and work is no exception, but that’s universal. For me, maintaining a particular lifestyle is essential to staying at the top of my game. I follow a schedule for everything— whether it is waking up, working out, eating, or unwinding.”

Arora also mentioned how she prioritises wellness, saying, “Wellness and lifestyle go hand in hand. For me, it is about living mindfully and prioritising what is good for my body and mind—whether it is food, self-care, workouts, or meditation. Finding a holistic approach that keeps you physically, mentally, and emotionally balanced is the key.”

In the same conversation, Arora revealed that she wants to take her health journey a step further by launching a chain of cafes that will serve healthy food. “I am also working towards opening my chain of cafes and restaurants, focusing on food that is both healthy and delicious—the kind of food we cook at home. I want to share that with others. Beyond that, I plan to keep travelling, doing exciting shoots, and filling my life with love,” she revealed.
This is Malaika Arora’s first interview to be published since she lost her father in September. Back then, Malaika issued an official statement and sought privacy from the media and well-wishers during the difficult time. “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect,” the statement read.
