It is a film you’d want to watch multiples times over. It is a film which will remind you of your first love, the first separation and the much-awaited reconciliation. In a nutshell, Adhiraj Bose’s Interior Café Night will strike a chord with many. The short film, which is available on YouTube revolves around two couples in a Kolkata based café. Naseeruddin Shah, who owns the café, bumps into the first love of his life (played by Shernaz Patel) after 30 long years. The two meet just a day before Shernaz has to leave for Nainital. From sharing the most precious moments of their lives and what’s been keeping them busy – the couple’s long-standing and unconditional affection is easy to fathom. At the adjoining table, a young couple (Naveen Kasturia and Shweta Basu Prasad) are meeting for the last time before they part ways. Even though the film put a focus on two couples of different age groups, the emotions, the love and the thought of parting remains the same and very real.
