Babu Antony is a recognised face in the Malayalam industry who is known for his works like RDX: Robert Dony Xavier, Leo and Ponniyin Selvan: I and II. He has also worked in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Sinhalese, Hindi and English films. Naturally, the actor shares a wide fan following across the states and borders.
He recently starred in the cop drama, DNA that hit the theatres on June 14. At the screening was a middle-aged woman who came to watch the film and was delighted to see her favourite actor right in front of her eyes sitting in the same theatres as hers. Obviously, without missing a beat, she clicked a selfie!
Babu Antony marked his debut with Bharathan’s Chilampu in 1986. His career highlights include Vaishali, Aparahnam and Uppukandam Brothers. With his training in martial arts, the actor has impressed his audience as an action star. He was visiting a theatre in Ernakulam, Kerala to watch his film and probably also check the audience’s reaction.

DNA is a suspenseful cop drama directed by T Suresh Babu. It stars Aju Varghese, Raai Laxmi, Johny Antony, Riyaz Khan, Swastika, Babu Antony and Renji Panicker. The Malayalam film will see Raai Laxmi slip into the role of an IPS Officer named Rachel Punnoose. The film was released on June 14, Friday as a Bakr-Eid special.
It is an investigative thriller that has been pulling the crowd to the theatres. The cinematography is handled by Ravichandran, editing by John Kutty, art direction by Shyam Karthikeyan, lyrics by actor Sukanya, music by Sharreth, and a background score by Prakash Alex. On the work front, Babu Antony has Oru Jaathi Jathakam and Bazooka in the pipeline.
