Vikrant Massey has been making headlines with his recent release, 12th Fail. However, anyone who followed his journey, knows that the actor started his career with television. Vikrant was a part of several popular television shows like Balika Vadhu, Dharam Veer and Baba Aisa Var Dhoondho. In a recent interview, the actor recalled his TV journey when he revealed that he once worked non-stop for 110 hours.
“Back in the day, artistes would shoot for 18-20 hours. There came a time when I had to shoot for 110 hours straight without stopping!” he said while speaking with Unfiltered by Samdish. He shared that one of his co-stars met with an accident due to which the makers decided to use him as a filler in every frame.
“They had no choice but to use me as a filler. Day shifts were melting into night shifts. There was no sense of time. Funnily, when they finally packed up, it wasn’t even for me. An actor who came to the set at 10 am in the morning got upset and walked out by evening,” Vikrant added.
Vikrant used to play the role of Shyam in Balika Vadhu. His character was widely loved by all and was often hailed as progressive and revolutionary. Recalling the same, Vikrant revealed that even though the original plan was to only do a cameo in the show, he ended up playing the character for over two years.
“I did the show for two years only because the content was good but the thing with TV is that the content starts becoming repetitive after a while and that is when I decided to leave the show despite people loving my part,” he said.
Meanwhile, Vikrant Massey is now all set to appear in Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba and an untitled web series produced by Rajkumar Hirani. On the personal front, after two years of blissful marriage, Vikrant Massey and Sheetal Thakur have become doting parents to a son. They welcomed their first child on February 7 this year.
