Watch: Jasprit Bumrah Hilariously Imitates R Ashwin's Bowling Action

India speedster Jasprit Bumrah has left the internet in splits with his hilarious imitation of veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin’ bowling action.

Bumrah, one of the finest pacers of the modern era, seems to channelise his inner spinner, showcasing his talent in a video shared on X (formerly Twitter).

In the video, Bumrah bowling offspin in typical Ashwin fashion.

Several fans have now reacted to the post, with many suggesting that the imitation was indeed quite accurate.

One of them wrote, “That was almost accurate? How would you rate Bumrah’s action @ashwinravi99? You can relax now, we have your replacement after your retirement”.

Another fan suggested that he would love to see the tables turn. “We love to see Ashwin doing the Bumrah action”, he wrote in his post.

In another reply, a user suggested that Bumrah should switch roles in their upcoming series against England. “Bumrah should bowl spin against England in the home Test series”, he wrote.

One fan was amazed at Bumrah’s observation of Ashwin. He said, “ [This] Means he has excellent observational abilities [and] would make a great captain and coach later”.

“Only one thing, Bumrah’s arm is a bit more straight”, wrote one more.

India are currently in South Africa for  a two-match Test series which they currently trail 0-1. Bumrah had the best bowling performance for India in the first innings as he scalped four wickets at an economy of 2.59 in the series opener last week.

The Rohit Sharma-led team suffered a humiliating defeat in the Centurion Test, losing by an innings and 32 runs. KL Rahul was the top performer for India in the first dig with a memorable century.

Virat Kohli led a long battle with 76 runs as India were skittled for a meagre 131 in their second dig.
