New Delhi: The Congress has unveiled its slogan for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections - 'Your voice, our pledge'. This comes as the party is also set to release its manifesto for the elections.
The Congress is likely to focus on the party's commitment to pass anti-corruption Bills and bring back black money. Rights-based legislations like the MNREGA, Food Security and the RTI are likely to be key themes of the manifesto.
The manifesto may also call for mandatory reservation for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in the private sector. Reservation for women in politics and employment opportunities in judiciary and police to sensitise these departments are likely to be the poll promises of Congress.
In order to attract BJP and AAP votes, the Congress is likely to focus more on youth and middle class by promising more opportunities for them, the sources say.
The Congress may also release a sub manifesto for different sections of the society ahead of the polls.
The BJP, on the other hand is running a Narendra Modi-centric slogan saying - 'Ab ki baar, Modi sarkaar' (It's time for Modi government).
