New Delhi: As the buzz surrounding Narendra Modi's candidature from Varanasi came to a rest when the BJP replaced senior party leader Murli Manohar Joshi and gave the former a ticket from the constituency, AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal says that he has not yet decided whether to contest against the BJP's PM nominee or not.
This comes as a U-turn as the AAP had almost decided to pit the former Delhi chief minister against Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha polls if the BJP's prime ministerial candidate contests from Varanasi. "If Modi contests from Varanasi, then we have almost decided that Arvind Kejriwal will be pitted against him (Modi)," Manish Sisodia had recently said.
In a late night press conference, the BJP high command declared that Narendra Modi would be contesting from Varanasi. Kejriwal told CNN-IBN in Bangalore that he had not yet decided to take on Modi in the forthcoming elections.
Even as AAP has released its six lists of candidates, it is yet to open its cards on Kejriwal's candidature.
