Frankfurt: Despite opposition over continuing peace talks with Pakistan in the wake of terror attacks in Jammu, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has made it clear that India is determined to have a dialogue with Pakistan and the talks will continue as scheduled.
Condemning the terror attack in Jammu, he said that it is an 'attack on peace'. "No word strong enough to condemn the heinous attack in Jammu. This is one more attack by enemies of peace. Such actions will not deter us and will not succeed in derailing our efforts to find a resolution to all problems through a process of dialogue," a statement by the PM said.
The two Prime Ministers are expected to meet on Sunday in the US on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly summit. The tensions along the Line of Control, stopping ceasefire violations as well as India's continuing concerns on terror are likely to be taken up for discussion.
Sources indicate that there is no breakthrough that should be expected out of the talks. A joint statement by the two leaders after their meeting is also unlikely.
