Beware of the Facebook dislike button scam that is spreading fast on Facebook
The title of the links say, 'Get newly introduced facebook dislike button on your profile.' And the description reads, 'Dislike Button is an invite only feature.'

Well, Facebook isn't working on a 'dislike' button. The new button, in all likelihood, will be called something else, as Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerber had elaborated during his public town hall meeting. But scammers are making the most of the (slightly misplaced) hype generated around the 'dislike' button and using it as a bait to lure Facebook users into their trap.

The scam campaign is spreading in the form of Facebook updates or messages. Those are linked to sites that ask users to further share the link on Facebook and also to send it to 5 Facebook Messenger groups for users. The scamsters suggest that it is only then users would be able to get early invites to Facebook's 'dislike' button feature.

The scam has been designed to spread virally and indications are that quite a few users have fallen for it.

It is still unclear what the real intentions of the scam campaign are. It could range from attempts at stealing of personal info to installing malware.

However, it is obvious from the Web pages that the links lead to that it is indeed a scam. It is also possible that there are other variants of this.
