Vi Adds Annual Disney Plus Hotstar VIP Subscription With Select Prepaid, Postpaid Plans Ahead of IPL

Vi (formerly Vodafone Idea) is now bundling a 1-year Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription with select postpaid and prepaid plans. The development comes ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League 2021 (IPL) season that can be accessed via the streaming platform. The new IPL season starts on April 9 and will go on till May 30, 2021. Customers can get a one-year free VIP subscription with Vi prepaid plans worth Rs 401, Rs 501, Rs 601, and Rs 801. Out of these, three prepaid plans offer unlimited voice calls but differ in terms of validity.

Starting with the Rs 401-worth Vi prepaid plan, customers can enjoy 3GB of 4G internet data (per day), 100 SMS (per day), and additional access to Vi Movies and TV apart from Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription. The plan has a validity of 28 days. The Vi Rs 501 plan is essentially a data pack with no unlimited voice calling. It comes with 75GB of internet data with a validity of 56 days. The Rs 601 Vi prepaid plan includes 3GB internet day (per day), unlimited calling, and access to Vi Movies and TV – with a validity of 56 days. Lastly, the Rs 801 Vi prepaid plan includes the same benefits as Rs 401 and Rs 601 prepaid plans but with 84 days of validity.

On the other hand, Vi postpaid subscribers using Rs 499 plan or above are eligible for this offer. Currently, Vi customers living in major circles like Delhi and Mumbai can avail the annual Disney+ HotStar VIP subscription. The VIP plan costs 399 per year and users get HD content, unlimited live sports, and access to Hotstar and Disney originals (only dubbed). Whereas, the Disney+ Hotstar Premium subscription comes with a price tag of Rs 1,499 (yearly), and users get access to all the same benefits except for access to full-HD and Disney originals, both in English and dubbed. Additionally, the premium plan allows simultaneous playback on two screens.

Vi prepaid and postpaid users can avail the Disney+ Plus VIP subscription via the Vi app or MyVi website.
