New Delhi: Adding a new product to its smartphone portfolio, Vivo has announced the launch of its new flagship phone - X5 Pro - in India. Priced at Rs 27,980, the new X5 Pro smartphone will be up for pre-booking starting midnight today on the company's India website, but it will be available in the market from August. Currently, the phone will be available only in white.
Alongside the X5 pro launch, Vivo has announced the launch of its new V series in India. The first two phones that the company has launched the new V series are the Vivo V1 and the V1 max. The former is priced at Rs 17,980 and will be available in silver and golden colours, while the latter carries a price tag of Rs 21,980 and will come only in golden.
The flagship X5 Pro has a glass back and the metallic frame running around the phone gives it a premium finish. It features a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED full HD display (1920 x 1080 pixels), 13 megapixel rear and 8 megapixel front cameras, 1.5GHz Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM.
What the company says is its highlight is the Hi-Fi Music feature that is said to be empowered by a custom-made DAC AK4375 audio chip making the fine details of music finer.
The Vivo X5 Pro has 16 GB of internal memory; it also supports a microSD card of up to 128 GB. The phone also has USB OTG support.
"Customers who book the phone before July 31 stand a chance to win exciting gift," says the company.
The new dual-SIM 4G phone is packed with a 2450 mAh battery. The phone runs its Funtouch OS 2.1 which is based on Android 5.0 OS.
