A man from Mumbai was surprised when he received a call from Flipkart customer service six years after placing an order on the e-commerce platform. Ahsan Kharbai shared his unusual experience with Flipkart on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). His post included a screenshot of his order history, showing that he had ordered Sparx slippers in May 2018.
Surprisingly, the Sparx slippers ordered by Ahsan Kharbai have still not been delivered six years later. However, he recently received a call from Flipkart customer support. “I was surprised when they called for an order that is 6 years old,” he said, as quoted by the Hindustan Times.
Ahsan Kharbai recalls the long-standing issue, saying, “I ordered the slippers from Flipkart six years ago. They never arrived, however, their app always indicated ‘arriving today’. Even today, it still says ‘arriving today’.”
Recently, out of curiosity, Ahsan Kharbai clicked on the order, and moments later, he got a call from Flipkart. “I received a call from Flipkart asking what issue I was facing with the order,” he said.
“The customer service agent inquired as to whether I had heard from the logistics team via phone. Also, the customer care representative ended the call by saying, “We are very sorry for this, sir,” Ahsan Kharbai recounted.

Ahsan Kharbai stated that he hadn’t followed up on the order because it was cash-on-delivery. He did, however, state that he wanted the order closed. “I just want them to close that order because this is the first order I see when I open my Flipkart order section,” he told the publication.
Ahsan Kharbai’s post, shared on June 25, has gained over 1 lakh views. Many people found the incident amusing, while others shared similar experiences with the e-commerce giant.
