The internet, a boundless wellspring of knowledge, consistently showers its users with insights. And, in this era dominated not only by Google but also by social media content creators, it has evolved into a vast school encompassing everything under the sun. In the midst of this digital plethora, an Indian content creator has seized the spotlight, offering an unconventional approach to teaching spoken English. Dhiraj Takri, the maestro behind this linguistic journey, guides enthusiasts in speaking American English with a twist—trimming lengthy words for speed and ease, all infused with his distinctive Desi touch.
While his presence on Instagram is nothing short of mesmerising with a fan following of 900K users, the conversation around his ‘expertise’ began when an ‘X’ user, @Pun_Starr, shared one of his videos with the caption ‘Learn to speak fast English.’

“I really like this kids content – it actually makes a lot of sense for spoken English, it’s engaging and fun and the edits are great. Hope he becomes a total starr,” remarked one user. Another added, “Not even the most qualified govt uni professors could manage to teach this to a non-urban population of people. this is genuinely impactful and well made educational content and i really hope this dude gets the reach he deserves.”
I really like this guy. He’s creative in his expression, a self-learner, and is giving genuinely good advice to anyone who might be learning English as a second or third language.— Siddharth Singh (@siddharth3) January 6, 2024
The third one expressed, “I deeply respect this individual who stands out from the crowd by engaging in productive and informative content, rather than conforming to the norm of bike stunts or dance reels. Let’s refrain from discouraging him simply because he doesn’t hail from a privileged background.”

Meanwhile, the fourth one called out the trollers, writing, “Sahi toh bol raha hai. His knowledge of the American accent/phonetics is on point (based on his other videos). Let’s be honest, he’s being trolled only because he doesn’t appear/present himself in a certain manner, not for what he’s saying.”
