It’s not uncommon for children to accidentally swallow objects or insert them into their noses while playing with small items like toys, coins or magnets. While some incidents can be dangerous, most aren’t cause for alarm. This typically happens between the ages of 6 months and 5 years, when children are most curious.
Such was the case with a 32-year-old man from the US who discovered a Lego piece lodged in his nose since childhood. Taking to Instagram, he humorously recounted his experience, revealing that the tiny Lego had been stuck for over two decades. He also mentioned suffering from various breathing issues, including sleep apnea and asthma, suggesting that the Lego piece might have been the hidden cause all along.
Noting that he was around six years old at the time of the incident, the man recalled playing with his toys when he decided to send his little Lego man on a “deep diving mission to find the missing piece up in the nose.” However, he ended up pushing it deeper inside, leaving all panicking at the time. Later, his mother was able to take the pieces out with the help of tweezers. However, little did they know that a small piece was still inside until now.
According to the video, the man was following a doctor-suggested practice of blowing his nose in the hot shower to keep the nose clean. “Today I blew my nose and low and behold a Lego shot out. I feel like this Lego piece has been the culprit for the last 26 years. I am shooketh. I can breathe out of this side of my nose now, and it’s fantastic. I haven’t been able to do that since I was a child,” he added.

His video sparked a series of hilarious reactions online, with some finding the story amazingly epic and funny. A user wrote, “Lego needs to send you something cool for this story! Wow, this is incredible,” while another commented, “A friend sent me your story. I’d love to send you a complimentary copy of my book if you still need some advice on the subject.”
“Omg dude!!! That’s hilarious, but I’m happy you can breathe now! Hopefully a whole new world of possibilities will be revealed for you,” a third comment read.
One even shared a similar experience with his kid and wrote, “OMG, my kid got a Lego stuck in his nose last year, and we had to go the ER. We wore our masks and thankfully he sneezed it out.”
