A parent can go to any extent to save their child from danger or a fatal incident. They hardly ever care about their safety and want to protect their kids at any cost. Recently, a shocking incident took place in Australia. A father jumped into the sea in North Wollongong when a big wave took away his little daughter. The heroic deed, captured on camera, has gone viral on social media.

The dramatic rescue was filmed and released online by 7 News Australia, showing the youngster running along a seawall with her father following closely behind her. Suddenly, their playtime took a drastic turn as a giant rising wave overpowered the young girl and swept her past the railing. Soon after, as the wave retreats, her father is seen jumping over the rails to her rescue. A report by People mentioned that the duo were tossed across the rocks by the sea, but other witnesses nearby helped them by throwing buoys. Reportedly, the area faced heavy waves created by a major storm that had affected most of the east coast.

A NSW ambulance representative informed Daily Mail Australia that the couple were treated for seawater consumption and minor abrasions. They were both transported to Wollongong Hospital in stable condition.

On the other hand, The People reported that the New South Wales State Emergency Service issued an alert notice on April 9, urging citizens to remain safe as severe weather is predicted to persist. The report also quoted Dallas Burnes, the duty commander and acting assistant commissioner’s statement, alerting people to prevent damage to their properties. He suggested removing any overhanging branches and securing and storing any unsecured things in the backyard or balcony.

Speaking of parents rescuing their children in dangerous situations, a few months ago, a father saved his young child from a snake in the play area. A video depicting a tragic fight between a toddler and a snake had gone viral.

The youngster was playing fetch with a twig with his black dog in the garden when the tragedy occurred. While the dog was racing about looking for the twig tossed by the toddler, The latter unintentionally picked up a snake crawling near a tree and threw it at the dog. The father eventually realised it was a snake and threw it far away from the child’s reach.
