Watch: 15-foot-long Python Tries To Swallow Man Alive In MP, Villagers Save Him

A man narrowly survived an attack by a 15-foot-long python in the Kalyanpur area of Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur. The horrifying incident, which was caught on camera, shows the snake encircling the man’s neck while he was defecating in an open field. A group of villagers’ quick thinking and rapid action saved the man’s life.

The snake slowly approached from behind and wrapped its tail around the man’s neck as he happened to be defecating in an open field. While he begged for assistance, the terrified man was able to grasp the poisonous python’s jaws.

When villagers heard him screaming and crying, they rushed to the scene to save the man’s life. By the time they came, the python had wrapped itself tightly around him, turning the scenario into a thrilling struggle for survival.

The locals wasted no time and attempted to separate the python from the man. But in the end, the villagers killed the python with an axe, stones, and other sharp objects out of worry that it would become a tragic accident.

According to reports, there has been no legal action taken against the people who killed the python, with forest department authorities noting that killing an animal to save its life is not a crime.

“The man was struggling to breathe as the python had coiled around his neck. If an animal is killed by a person in such a circumstance, no legal action is taken against him,” said Forest ranger Mahesh Chandra Kushwaha quoted by The Indian Express.

Within a few hours of being shared, the video has garnered over 1 million views on X (formally Twitter).
