The video was shared on Instagram on April 4 and it has collected more than 74,000 views so far. The clip has also garnered more than 2,000 views and several comments. Many praised the woman in the video while a few expressed shock. A user wrote, “Nice dance”, while another commented, “kam se kam wardi ki to izzat kro yrr (at least respect the uniform). A user called the woman police officer, “heroine”. Another mentioned “fantastic”.
In December 2023, a Mumbai police officer sparked outrage and received widespread notice after he was caught dancing with a young woman inside a second-class ladies’ coach on a Central Railway local train.
The officer, named SF Gupta, attracted scrutiny after a video of him performing an impromptu dance went online. The incident occurred on December 6, while Gupta was on duty as a house guard assigned to guarantee the safety of women during nocturnal travel.
