Brock Lesnar, regarded as one of the most decorated wrestlers in history, is rumoured to make a comeback to the WWE soon. The Best Incarnate was last seen in action at the SummerSlam earlier this year, going head-to-head against Cody Rhodes in a rubber match. Lesnar ended up on the losing side as Rhodes sealed the deal by launching three back-to-back Cross Rhodes.

Since then Lesnar remained out of the wrestling circuit, with fans eagerly waiting for his return. According to a recent report by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON), Lesnar could feature at the upcoming WWE Royal Rumble, a pay-per-view event scheduled to take place at the Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida on January 27 2024.

The match between Lesnar and Rhodes at SummerSlam was the final stage of a trilogy. The rivalry developed following WrestleMania 39, where Rhodes challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship but failed to claim the title. On a post-WrestleMania broadcast, Lesnar pledged to team up with Rhodes in a bid to clash against Reigns and Solo Sikoa in a tag-team match.
What transpired inside the ring was quite unexpected for Rhodes. In a stunning move, Lesnar attacked the American Nightmare, paving the way for a new matchup. Following that, Rhodes and Lesnar fought at WrestleMania Backlash and at Night of Champions before putting an end to the rivalry at SummerSlam.
Earlier reports by Xero News claimed that Brock Lesnar might get a match with the longest-reigning Intercontinental champion, Gunther at WrestleMania 40. If the rumour turns true, WWE might have decided to feature Lesnar at Royal Rumble in a bid to develop his storyline for WrestleMania 40, which will be hosted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in April next year.
Lesnar has been heavily involved in high-profile fights since rejoining the WWE in 2021. He initiated a feud with Universal Champion Roman Reigns after his comeback at SummerSlam that year. Going by the hype, wrestling fans got to enjoy several pay-per-view matches between the two veterans.
Reigns put his title on the line when Lesnar became his opponent at Crown Jewel, WrestleMania, and SummerSlam in 2022. The Tribal Chief had the last laugh on each occasion. Lesnar and Reigns faced off in the main event of WrestleMania 38 earlier this year, with both world belts at stake. In the end, Reigns triumphed in the fight to solidify his stature as the undisputed WWE champion.
