In a sensational turn of events, wrestling superstar Brock Lesnar is understood to have been removed from the cover art of the special edition of 2K’s next WWE 2K24. The latest development comes days after Lesnar was linked to the sex trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon. It has been learnt that in the latest video for WWE 2K24, the cover of the “40 Years of WrestleMania” edition of the game does not feature Lesnar’s face as it has been replaced by another star performer John Cena. Wrestling reporter Andrew Ravens recently pointed out the huge development by sharing a side-by-side post of the original cover and the latest one.
“Brock Lesnar was removed from the WrestleMania cover of WWE 2K24. The first photo is the latest version,” read the post shared by Andrew Ravens on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

The development took place after a former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon. The suit said that McMahon ordered Grant to create personalized sexual content for a WWE wrestler that he was trying to sign again. The suit did not mention the name of the wrestler but a Wall Street Journal report claimed that people aware of the matter identified the wrestler as Lesnar.
There is still no clarity if Brock Lesnar will also be removed from the game totally when it releases later this year in March. A source has now informed IGN that steps are being taken to update the game according to the recent developments surrounding Lesnar and his alleged connection to a lawsuit against Vince McMahon and the WWE.
Brock Lesnar has been away from WWE programming since August when he conceded a defeat at the hands of Cody Rhodes at the SummerSlam. The former UFC heavyweight champion has already been removed from the WWE video game. Lesnar was supposed to fight legendary WWE fighter Rey Mysterio’s son Dominik at the Elimination Chamber before facing WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther at WrestleMania 40. But the two fights are understood to have been scrapped now in the wake of a notorious sex trafficking scandal, allegedly involving Lesnar.
Brock Lesnar was also tipped to take part in last month’s men’s Royal Rumble but that plan also had to be discarded because of his involvement in the ongoing sex trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon.
