Wrestling fans have witnessed the returns of several WWE superstars in recent times, with legendary figures like CM Punk and Cody Rhodes signing a new contract with the American company. Another individual who has been highly anticipated to make an iconic comeback is Mandy Rose. The former NXT Women’s champion has stayed out of the wrestling circuit for more than a year now. Rose, who was once the Toxic Attraction stable leader, was forced to part ways with WWE in December 2022. Her contract was terminated after the company found Rose distributing exclusive content on her fan site.
The decision was reportedly made from the business perspective and Rose had no personal issue with the NXT hierarchy. While one year has passed since her departure, Paul “Triple H” Levesque and NXT’s creative head Shawn Michaels still think very highly of Rose, according to a report by Fight Fans.
About her potential return, it was claimed that WWE has yet to think about bringing the former superstar back to the NXT roster. “As of today, no movement between WWE and Mandy Rose on a potential return,” a source close to the development was quoted as saying to Fight Fans.
The wrestling company though may look into the options in future to sign a new contract with Rose, who kept the NXT Women’s title in her possession for over 400 days before being snubbed from the roster. In case of making a return to the ring, Rose will be required to cease the online operations on her fan site, which has been deemed unacceptable by WWE.
Mandy Rose, however, is understood to have no intention to re-enter the WWE circuit in the near future. Last month, during an interaction with Busted Open Radio, Rose revealed how her life has been going since leaving the company. “It’s been amazing. I can’t complain. I’ve had a lot of ups and downs, just like anything. But I’ve had a lot of great opportunities come my way, so I’m grateful,” the 33-year-old said.
Mandy became more active on her fan site after her wrestling career saw an abrupt ending. She reportedly earned as much as $1 million within months of being released by WWE.
