When compared to the previous month’s numbers, Maruti managed to sell 10,653 units in April 2017. This makes the Vitara Brezza, the most sold compact SUV/SUV in the country today. Maruti sold more than a lakh Brezzas in less than a year's time, ever since it went on sale last March.
From February 2017 onwards, the monthly sales of Vitara Brezza has been 10,057 units in March, 10,653 units in April and now, 12,375 units in May. Taking the cumulative sales of 2017, Maruti has managed to sell close to 50000 units in just 5 months, averaging 10000 units/month.
Going by this pace, Brezza will cross the 1.5 lakh sales mark in no time. And theirs is no competition to come in near future, apart from the facelifted Ford Ecosport. Such is the demand of the Brezza that Maruti is continuously witnessing a waiting period as long as 3 months. It is available only in one engine version – the 1.3-litre DDiS 200 unit that has a mileage of 24.3 kmpl, again the best in the segment.
