Processing Your Return
Log into your Zappos account. Visit the website's home page at Zappos.com and click on the link that says "My Account," located in the top right corner. Enter your email address and password to sign in. You can also log into Zappos.com through an Amazon account.
Locate your order number. Look through your list of orders and find the order that contains the shoes you wish to return. The reference number for the order should be located on the invoice from that delivery. Click on the order to select it.
Select items to return. Review the items in the order and find the shoes that you wish to return. Click the drop down menu next to the item and click on "Return This Item." At the bottom of the order, click the button that says "Return Checked Items." If you are returning multiple items in an order, choose the "Return This Item" option next to each one before clicking on the "Return Checked Items" button. If you are returning items from separate orders, process an individual return for each.
Print or order a UPS prepaid shipping label. If you have access to a printer and wish to print your label right away, click the link on the top right corner of the screen to display it. Adjust your printer settings accordingly and print it out. If you do not wish to print it, select whether you want it sent to you by email or regular mail.
Packing Your Return Items
Make sure the shoes are in their original condition. Before returning your Zappos shoes, make sure that they are in "like new" condition. Shoes should be unworn and clean. Make sure that there are no stains or dirt marks on the shoes, and that the soles are clean.
Prepare a box for mailing the shoes. Use either your original Zappos box to return the shoes, or a new, unmarked cardboard box. Remove any shipping labels or stickers from the box before preparing it to mail. If possible, use the same packaging to secure your shoes in the box (e.g., protective plastic or tissue paper.)
Seal and label it. Use packing tape to seal the box securely. Use tape to securely attach your UPS shipping label to the top of the box. Make sure that the entire label is visible and legible.
Shipping Your Return
Drop off the box at a UPS shipping Center. Drop your box off at a UPS shipping center and allow four to five days for the package to be received at a Zappos.com warehouse. Do not leave the package at a UPS drop box, as its safe return may not be guaranteed. Keep track of the processing of your return. Your return will be inspected, approved and processed within approximately 72 hours after the warehouse receives it. Check your email for a confirmation message that will be sent once the return is completed. You can track the progress of your return through the "My Account" link on the website.
Make sure that you receive your refund. Once your returned shoes have been inspected and approved at the warehouse, it will take about 7 days for your refund to be issued. Allow between two to ten days for the refund to be credited to your account and for your financial institution to post it. Verify that the correct amount has been credited to you.
Contact customer service if necessary. Zappos.com offers a 24 hour a day customer service line. Call anytime if you have questions or concerns about your return and refund. Have your order number ready so that the customer service representative can access your information quickly. The website also allows you to enter into a live chat with a customer service representative.
