Burglary at Saibaba Temple

HYDERABAD: Silver ornaments worth Rs 15 lakh were stolen from the Saibaba temple at Vijayapuri Colony in Vanasthalipuram. According to police, miscreants entered the temple on Sunday night and decamped with Rs 15 lakh worth silver ornaments. The incident came to light on Monday morning when the temple priest Bhavani Prasad opened the doors. Police said the culprits gained entry into the temple by removing the window grills and made away with the silver plates weighing about 30 kg attached to the throne. Based on a complaint by the temple management, a case has been registered and investigation is on.
