CM says government moving at breakneck speed

CHENNAI: Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Friday said the three-week-old AIADMK government was moving at a ‘breakneck speed’ to deliver goods to the people who have been fed up with the misrule of the previous DMK government on all fronts.“This government is moving at a ‘breakneck speed’ to deliver goods to the people… Of course, along with speed, we have wisdom. Within three weeks of assuming office, my government has taken many initiatives that have restored the faith of the people about their prosperous future — regulating the power supply, steps to bring down prices of commodities, restoring law and order, preventing illegal sand-quarrying and implementing welfare schemes”, the Chief Minister said while replying to the discussion on the motion of thanks to the Governor’s address in the State Assembly.Thanking the people for giving a massive mandate to the AIADMK in the Assembly elections, Jayalalithaa reiterated her commitment to the faith reposed by the people.
