New Delhi: A forensic investigation ordered by Delhi government to find out the details of videos related to an alleged anti-India event at the Jawaharlal Nehru University has found that two out of seven clips were doctored. The Hyderabad based laboratory report says the slogans were deliberately added to the clips, which were shot during the event at the JNU on February 9.
The audio of people not present in the video were reportedly added in the clippings. The laboratory has revealed that the videos were edited and audio was added to two out of the seven samples.
The revelations came after the Arvind Kejriwal government on February 13 ordered a magisterial inquiry into the incident.
Earlier, a video showing raising of anti-India slogans allegedly by outsiders at the event had given a fresh twist to the case. In the video, the youths, whose faces were covered, could be seen raising slogans against India.
Several videos of the event have surfaced since the row broke out leading to the arrest of JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar on charges of sedition, triggering widespread protests. Two other JNU students - Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya - are also in jail for allegedly organising the event and raising anti-India slogans.
