New Delhi: In a crackdown that went through Saturday night, a team of Delhi Police arrested several Nigerians alleged to be drug peddlers.

One of the arrested is suspected to have sold the drugs to Sahil Zaroo - the fourth person at the get-together organised by late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan's son Rahul Mahajan and his secretary Bibek Maitra on Thursday night.

Sahil, son of a Delhi-based carpet dealer, had gone missing after the late-night party at Rahul's Safdarjung residence, but surrendered in Srinagar on Sunday.

However, he denied charges of supplying drugs for Rahul's party after which Maitra died and Rahul was hospitalised.

Sahil, who surrendered in Srinagar amidst high drama telecast live on a national TV channel, will be brought to Delhi on Sunday for questioning.

In a chat telecast live, Sahil admitted that he knew Maitra. As he was being interviewed on TV, a posse of policemen entered the studio and arrested him.

The Delhi Police has filed a case against him under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances act and acts relating to destruction of evidence..

Meanwhile, the condition of Rahul Mahajan, who is undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital, was reported to be stable.
