THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: At a time when devotees all over are attempting in various ways to keep his memory alive, the Thiruvananthapuram North chapter’s ‘Sree Sathya Sai Bhagavatha Saptaha Yagnam’ is seen as a humble offering to the Guru."This should be a first anywhere in the world,’’ said Unnikrishnan V, district president, Thiruvananthapuram North, of the Sree Sathya Sai Seva Organisation. "'The Saptaha Yagnam’ will touch upon the incarnations of the universal spirit as Sree Rama, Sree Krishna, Shirdi Sai, Sathya Sai and the yet-to-come incarnation which the Baba predicted before his demise; Prema Sai. The yagnam will start with the lives of Sree Rama and Sree Krishna,’’ Unnikrishnan said.Kerala State Women’s Commission chairperson Justice D Sreedevi inaugurated the yagnam on Sunday evening. It is being led by Kandamangalam Subrahmanian Namboothiri and N Somasekharan. Monday, the formal Day One of the yagnam, will begin with a Maha Ganapathi Homam, followed by Bhajans, and a short lecture on ‘Avatara.’The lives of Sree Rama, Sree Krishna, the Buddha, Sankaracharya, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and Ramana Maharshi will be touched upon, before the yagna launches proper into the life and times of Sathya Sai Baba. The following days will venture in detail into his life, the miracles that he is said to have manifested and his charitable works. The yagnam will come to a close on July 24.
