The sensational Sheena Bora murder case has taken a new turn. Prime accused Indrani Mukerjea's driver Shyamvar Rai has sought pardon from the court and has requested to become an approver in the case. During his questioning, he has reportedly claimed, that Sheena was killed by strangulation.
Rai has spoken about his role in the case and has admitted that he was a participant in the murder. In a letter submitted to the court, he has said that he wishes to narrate the entire sequence of events in the case.
He has not spoken about Peter Mukerjea in his submission in the court.
Indrani, along with her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and Rai allegedly strangled Sheena inside a car in April 2012. The crime, which came to light in August 2015, is allegedly linked to certain financial dealings.
Indrani, Rai, and Khanna were arrested in August. Indrani's husband Peter Mukerjea is also behind the bars in connection with the case.
