BHUBANESWAR: Tragedies don't come alone, as the saying goes. Barely a week into the death of former minister Bata Krushna Jena, the family was struck by yet another tragedy on Saturday. His son Kruti Sundar Jena, who met with an accident on Friday evening, succumbed on Saturday morning. Kruti was 34.
Mancheswar Police said he was on his way to HiTech Medical College and Hospital when a speeding vehicle knocked him down along the NH 5. Kruti, who apparently suffered a haemorrhage, managed to drive his way to the hospital where he collapsed. He was immediately hospitalised before being shifted to Sparsh Hospital in Sahid Nagar. On July 24, he had lost his father, a minister in the JB Patnaik Government during 198590. Kruti, who worked in Delhi, was here for the last rites of his father.
