At Dune Part 2’s New York premiere, Florence Pugh revealed that she was 'excited' to be a part of director John Crowley’s upcoming romance drama opposite Andrew Garfield.

Florence Pugh started 2024 on a good note. The actress who received multiple accolades for her performance in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, will feature in director Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part 2, scheduled to release on March 1. The talented star, who is typically known for breathing life into dark and complex roles, will also soon be starring in a new romance film, opposite actor Andrew Garfield. At Dune 2’s New York premiere on February 25, Florence Pugh shared an update about the upcoming romance drama, We Live in Time, directed by The Goldfinch and Brooklyn director John Crowley. Heaping praise on his co-star, she claimed to be “excited” for the movie.

“Oh my god, I’m excited about that movie. That one, we just had the most beautiful time making it — we made a real story about real people and I got to work with the most unbelievable actor I feel so honoured to be in his presence and shout lines back to him,” revealed Florence Pugh, in an interaction with Entertainment Tonight. Although she remained tight-lipped about the film’s plot, Pugh disclosed that she was “still in love with the process of making the movie”.

The Midsommar actress had her fingers crossed as she hoped the audience appreciated watching We Live In Time. When asked about the film’s release date, Florence Pugh claimed that she was not aware of it, but guaranteed that it would premiere sometime “soon”. “I don’t know, let’s ask John (Crowley),” she said.

This will be the first time that Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield will be sharing screen space. Initial reports of the duo being cast together were first made public by Deadline, just a week after the duo presented the award for Best Original Screenplay at the 2023 Oscars. As per the outlet, while the plot details were under wraps, We Live In Time was touted to be a humorous yet heart-touching and “immersive love story”.

According to Entertainment Tonight, We Live In Time is penned by The Last Letter From Your Lover writer Nick Payne and will be produced under the banners of Studio Canal. Adam Ackland, Guy Heeley, and Leah Clarke will be producing the film with Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch acting as the executive producer.
