Selena Gomez is back to rule the playlist with her first single in 2024. Her latest track, Love On, has officially been launched, and her fans are surely loving this groovy number. The track, produced by The Monsters & Strangerz and Isaiah Tejada, dropped on February 22, skipping the traditional Friday release model. Selena Gomez co-wrote the song with Julia Michaels, Michael Pollack, Tejada and Jordan K. Johnson and Stefan Johnson. The track was accompanied by a sassy music video directed by French director Greg Ohrel.

The music video sets the pace of the pop number that is reportedly inspired by the singer’s love for Paris, and the lyrics seem to encourage a new lover. Selena gets to her listeners, “Wait ’til I turn my love on/ I’m no cheap thrill/ I’m a rollercoaster ride, baby jump on,” while she grooves against a vibrant French backdrop.

Selena had announced Love On on Instagram earlier this month, along with the song’s cover art and release date. “Wait till I turn my love on,” she captioned the photo.

Later, the singer-actress released a short teaser for the track’s music video, In the snippet, Selena Gomez cuddled with a puppy while a group of couples were nearby. Love On came after Selena Gomez’s August 2023 release, Single Soon, which peaked at No. 19 on the Billboard Hot 100.
