Watch: SHINee's Taemin Takes On Dance Challenge With aespa's Winter
The all-girl group recently released their single Drama and the maknae of SHINee supported aespa while promoting their track.

K-pop idol Taemin is a visionary, who constantly strives to challenge himself while being dedicated to his craft. Pursuing new concepts is a part of his artistic identity but he is also popular among fans for his humourous antics. The SHINee member never leaves an opportunity to catch attention with his comedic timing and he did just that while recording a dance challenge with aespa’s Winter. The all-girl group recently released their single Drama and the maknae of SHINee supported aespa while promoting their track. He emulated a snippet of Drama’s choreography during the dance challenge, but it wasn’t only his Swift moves that stole the limelight.

What fans loved more was the way Taemin opted to begin the dance challenge. Just seconds before following Drama’s choreography, the K-pop idol pretended to shiver, a gesture that playfully poked fun at idol Winter’s name. Take a look at the video here:

Taemin pretending to be cold standing beside Winter is dubbed too cute and funny by fans. While some can’t hold back their laughter, many couldn’t get over the SHINee member’s adorable behaviour. Looking at the video, a fan commented, “Was Taemin acting like he’s feeling cold because he’s next to Winter? That is so funny.”

Another wrote, “I love how Taemin taeminifies this dance but doesn’t sacrifice the slay.”

One more cleverly used the title of the new aespa single, “Taemin shivering next to Winter. You’re the drama Taemin.”

Meanwhile, a fan wondered, “How did Taemin make this dance taemin-ish but still aespa-ish at the same time?”

It was in 2008 when the K-pop idol debuted as a member of SHINee before beginning to make solo music in 2014. Taemin, who is also a part of the K-pop subgroup titled SuperM, recently released his fourth mini album Guilty on October 30. The music offering consists of six tracks and marks Taemin’s first solo outing in two years. He last released his EP Advice in 2021 before enlisting in the South Korean army for his mandatory military service. Guilty traverses Taemin’s dynamic shades as an artist with songs about heartbreak, melancholy, and guilt.

He recently appeared in BTS member Suga’s celebrity chat show Suchwita and revealed feeling exhausted and unhappy in his 20s but bouncing back strong to enjoy the stardom he has amassed today.
