Watch: Indian Boxer Neeraj Goyat Gets Into Ugly Altercation With Jake Paul
India boxer Neeraj Goyat confronted Jake Paul after challenging the American for a bout last December.

Indian pro boxer Neeraj Goyat can’t wait to face off against Jake Paul inside the squared circle, with tension brewing up between the duo for quite some time now. It all started after Goyat challenged Paul to a fight via Instagram in December last year.

The invitation caught the attention of Paul, a popular social media personality who has recently switched to pro boxing.

The ‘Problem Child’ spoke about the challenge in a press conference and said, “Neeraj has made some noise. His call-out video got more than 25 million views. It could be fun to go over to India and knock him out in his home country. He is India’s biggest and best boxer.”

Those remarks did nothing but provoke Goyat to plan a trip to America as he wanted to beat Jake in his hometown, Puerto Rico.

The Indian athlete shared the plan in an Instagram post where Paul sarcastically commented, “Don’t make that mistake. The only thing missing is your boxing skills.”

The warning was of no use as in a recent video, Goyat was seen meeting Paul in person outside a gym in Puerto Rico. It was indeed not a pleasant encounter.

After stepping out of his car, Goyat was heard saying, “Jake Paul, I’m the man of my word. I’m here. I’m in your country. I’m here in your town. I’m here in your gym, man. You were using a translation application and were abusing in Indian language. Now abuse.”

Jake hit back with a humourous reply, asking Goyat if he could not handle those trash talks.

“Your feelings are hurt? Did I hurt your feelings?” the American asked.

Amidst the exchange, the duo suddenly got engaged in a physical altercation. and was later separated by boxer Amanda Serrano and other members of Paul’s team.

Sharing the video from his Instagram account, Jake wrote, “Respect to you lil guy for flying all the way from India. To Neeraj fans, where in India do you want to see me knock him out?”

As far as his next professional assignment is concerned, Paul is gearing up to take on Ryan Bourland on March 2 in San Juan. The event will be headlined by a featherweight women’s championship clash featuring Amanda Serrano and Nina Meinke.
