Union Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh has objected to the Adarsh Housing Society saying that the society has violated green norms.
Mumbai: The fate of the Adarsh Housing Society seems to be sealed. Now Union Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh has objected to the Adarsh Housing Society saying that the society has violated green norms and action will be taken against it.
Ramesh also suggested that some of the floors of the 31-storey building could be demolished.
Environment Minister also said that the interim report submitted by the state government clearly shows that violation has taken place and that appropriate action would be taken once the Maharashtra government submits its final report on the 100-metre tall building that was in clear violation of the coastal zone limit of a height of 30 metres.
